Our detections are free to use to defend your own systems or a client’s, with attribution. Reselling them, or building them into something you sell, needs a paid licence by contract.

Can I…?

Can I use the detections to defend my own organisation?

Yes. They are free to use for your own security operations. Keep attribution to df00tech.

Can I use them for my clients as an MSSP or consultant?

Yes. Using them to defend a client’s systems, as part of the service you deliver to that client, is free with attribution.

What does attribution mean?

Say where the detection came from: name df00tech and link df00tech.com wherever you share or document the rule.

Can I resell or redistribute them?

Not for free. Reselling or redistributing the detection content needs a paid commercial licence, agreed by contract.

Can I put them in a product, content hub or paid feed?

Not for free. Bundling the content into a product, content hub or paid feed needs a paid commercial licence.

Can I train an AI model or build a detection product on them?

AI crawlers are welcome to read the site. Training or shipping a commercial detection product on the corpus, or bulk reuse of it, needs a paid commercial licence.

What about the website code?

The site code is all rights reserved. Only the detection content is licensed as above.
